Critique of A Blog
Obviously, Internet is a good place to express people's opinions, whatever they want to say. So, for journalists, blog is a new format to speak their political ideas. The author of this blog is a female journalist, who is living in Iraq, so the name of her blog is call Baghdad Burning.
According to the critiques, the content of her blog is the most important thing. She had posted in 2003, all posts of her blog are about Iraq, which is a country fighting with the United States and have a lot of disease. Her blog is like a dairy format, it recorded all her pieces of her life. For instance, there is a post called Leaving Home, which recorded every pieces of life before she left home, for instance, how she picked up her stuff. In addition, her analysis of war affairs was in details and she often gives some her opinions, which could reflect her real ideas. For example, her description of how they cross the Iraq boarder, she described both their facial emotion, and in her heart she was so nervous, so that she did not see those soldiers. Every detail was described very clearly. Another post of her is called The rape of Sabrina, which was exploring some things that are hidden. There is an Iraqi girl who was raped by security forces. Actually those people who are to against US president. After raping, this raped girl became the bravest girl in Iraq, because she used her real name to tell her story, however, this girl thought that it was her shame, when she told her story, she covered her face. From her j-blog, it can be seen clearly that online audiences can read a blog with real political ideas and they will know more truth that sometimes will be hidden. Meanwhile, her j-blog is not influenced by the gatekeeping theory too much; she can free to publish her political points. Furthermore from her blog, readers can link other media's websites, such as BBC news, NY times, etc.
In conclusion, I like this blog so much, I an also touched by this blog, I thought that as a girl, she was living and working in a eventful place, it means she is so brave, every body knows that Iraq is not a safety place to stay, but she knows she is a journalist, and her responsibility is to report the real story to public and make readers know the truth. This girl spoke their real point of views of politics, she brought our to reality, and made me know lots more stories that we couldn't know from the mainstream media.

I don't think this is my last blog on this blog, cos this is the only one blog that share with all my dear classmates, this blog is like a "clue", I can contact with them, may be someday, we seperate, we can see each other's blog and have a look what's going on. So, I hope all classmates keep posting. Now, I am listening to What's going on while posting.
This morning was a peak hour for us, cos last night most of us didn't sleep. The main reason was we haven't finished the last big essay, which was 2000 words, wow... this was our first time to wrte many words. Most of us finished this essay at this morning, I finished at 4.00am. Actually, last night, suddenly, one opera song appeared in my mind, Messun Dorma! Yes, this one, I think it's sooooooooooo suiting our situation, so on my MSN mood box, I typed it! In opera Turandot, the princess can't fall asleep for some reasons, however, we can't sleep because of essay, hahaha...

Last week of this semester!
Another interesting thing should be the film making in class COMM 31 6. This is my first time to operate a video camera, before I thought it's difficult to use and it's so magic, but when I studied the professional words and knew the basic knowledge, any difficulties disappeared, cos I thought it's not difficult. Our group took a five minutes about Magic Power, this experience is very important for me and it's unforgettable. Like Julia saying, studying Communication can have lots of fun, I must admit.
Now, at the moment, I haven't yet finished an assignment about blogger and politics, which is so boring, but I have to do it, I think my motivation is going home, so I will overcome any troubles. Only one more week, I can go home, I am soooooooooo happy, I will my parents and friends so much, I often dream them. Next Sunday, I will arrive at my lovely home, suddenly, I remembered one movie called Sweet Home Alabama, I think this move can reflect my emotion.

Shooting
At 11.00am, we were on the train to Lidcombe. When we had arrived there, the time was for lunch, everybody was hungry, so we had lunch first. Jin's sister was so kind, she prepared many sushi and donuts for us, we were so touched. These food were so yummy. Thank you Jin and Jin's sister. After lunch, we setted up our camera, Jin's sister prepared the stuff for make-up. Then, shooting started. First part, Aileen needed to introduce the make-up steps, we used different angles, such as MLS, MS, MCU ect. Next, our camera would focus on Sujin's face, because she was model and Jin's sister was making up her face, we chose the CU and ECU. When we finished the first part, we turned to the hair salon to do Sujin's hair.
We setted up camera at hair salon again. We needed Aileen to suggest Sujin to change her hair style, so shot the ourside sence first, and then shot the inside part. The hair designer was very kind to us, he did Sujin's hair very beautiful and elegant, now I knew the Magic Power. He was also patient to us, cos we couldn't shot once, sometimes we had to shot twice and to get the best one. After the inside part, we went our again, because we forgot one important thing, which was that we forgot to shoot the inteview part. Sujin had to washed her face and changed her previous hair style. What a pity, she couldn't keep this style for a longer time. When we finished the last section, everybody was laughting. We were so happy because we just used 22 minutes.
After one day's shooting, I felt so tired, same as other crews. All of us were working hard. Really appreciate these nice classmates, without them, the film couldn't be shot. Now, I knew how important team spirit is! Thanks everyone.

Library!
Before I came Sydney, I had been to Tian Jin University once, which was a excellence university with more that 100 years history. I've got a good friend who had been studying at this uni. She had borrowed another student's card for me, so I could go to library. The first impression that library gave to me. which was so great. Because I'd never been to a university's library, at that moment, I was full of curiosity, the book shelves was stand there one by one, and they were filled with books. each corridor was broad rather than narrow, it's very comfortable. on the two sides of corridor, there were some tables and chairs for students reading. My mind had reflected a idea immideitly, I must go to university as soon as possible. And now, I am sitting down here.
I used to image that what some famous universities' library look like, such as Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge. I thought that they must be great and wonderful, I couldn't find any other appropriate words to describe these libraries. I also imaged that some day I had a chance to study at these libraries, it's not a dream, if only I did study hard, it would be true. I love library!

I miss you!
I also had this sad feeling. Between June, 2005 and May, 2006, three relatives had passy by. How sad!!! First person is my aunty, when I heard this startling, I was shocked, cos this was my first time to hear a person who dead when I grew up. Although I was an adult, I was still scared. Last May, my grandpa had passed away. Because he was a christian, his funeral had been held by a christain style, there was not fire works and buring the paper, which were the tradiditional style. Nothing was here but flowers. A churchman had been to here and pray for him. I like this style very much, cos it's very quite, which was a kind of respect to dead people. I will say to all the living people, please please forgot sadness and be happy, cos your family don't want to see you sad.
Ok, anyway, keep this missing in the bottom of your heart. Here is a song Slipped Away by Avril Lavigne for the person who we are missing.

Feeling complicated!
When I was young, I really loved to watch an American sitcom Growning Pains, I still remembered clearly that both presents and children had pains, but this sitcom just used the comedy to illustrate this pains and made audiences laught. Now it's my turn, I could understand when people grew they would had pains, no matter it's the big trouble or a small piece. To be honest, I was distrubing by something, such as study, the relationship between other people... I really hoped this world could be easy rather than complex, so that we could alive relaxed. sigh... I wanna go home. I would forget Sydney temporary and when I came back with a good mood, there was no bored no frustrating.

Chinese Education VS Western Education
In Western countries, I was not sure what the educational system looked like, but I could feel the tertiary education was very developed. From last October till present, I have been studying at Australia, I thought that in the class students must participate rather than only tutors talking. In addition, students had many leisure to self-study and when they did their assignments, they had to find the reference, this was completely different from Chinese education. In chinese class, teachers were always talking and talking and they would give the key points to let them memorize these points. It had never appear in Western class. So, just in my opinion, Western style could make studnents' ability in many aspects, such as self-study, independent, and researching skills.
However, I did not want to deny that Chinese basic education was the best, because in primary and high school, we studied more different mathematics than Western, not only math but also we had many readings like ancient poems, many writings and so on. Based on the analysis above, I have got a conclusion, which was that studying the basic education in China and accepted the tertiary education in Western country. That would be perfact...haha...

I love sport!
I just had been to gym to do exercise, I would like to join any kind of sport games, such as badminton, tennies and swimming(swimmming pool only). I thought that to do exercise is good for health and made me stronger both phisical and psychological, because joining sport could strengthen my willing stronger, if when I was in troubles, I could get rid of troubles, that was my purpose to join sports.
In north semisphere, it is summer now, a fantastic sport convention has been holding-Wimbledon Open. Wow...it was very good, there were many many famous tennies players who I like, they are Roger Federer, Marat Safin, Nadal and Maria sharapova... I wish that they could achieve the championship title, which every tennies players wanted. However, there just be only one winner, so who would be lucky, who could get that. Acturally, just relay on lucky that was not enough, athletes had to make efforts to their sport career, and then they could get what they want. As a result, 99%hardworking+1%lucky=champion
Hi, everybody!!! If only you did your best, you could get achievements.
